Federica Malpeso is a kindergarten through second grade teacher at The Brooklyn Free School in Brooklyn, NY.
Through the philosophy of her school and her teaching style, she is committed to teaching young children about important social justice issues, such as education equality and racism, and creating a safe space for them to voice their beliefs and be heard.
As part of the Teach For Italy team, she is working towards ensuring that all children get access to quality education in Italy.
Federica holds a Dual Masters in Science of Education in Childhood General Education and Teaching Literacy (birth through grade 6) and an Advanced Certificate in Special Education from the Bank Street Graduate School of Education.
