INTRODUCTION

This privacy statement (“Privacy Policy”) is provided to explain the practices related to Teach for Italy’s online information (or “us”) and the user’s possible choices about how the data that identifies him directly or indirectly (“Personal Data”) are collected and used on the Teach for Italy website. We are a non-profit association established on 8 November 2016, part of the international network of Teach for All. We use your personal data only according to the following principles and in compliance with the current regulations on data protection in force, including the GDPR.

Please read this information carefully in order to understand your rights in relation to Personal Data, and how it will be collected, used, and processed. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, in general or in part, you must not access the Site.

INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM US

The web servers of the Site collect standard Internet log in information during the user’s visits. This information is used to help problems resolution relating to the Site, including performance and security functions. In general, when the user visits the site, only data the IP address and / or information on the browser or computer device that allow us to provide access to the site and the appropriate content are collected at random. However, there are pages in which it is necessary providing additional personal data to register, such as making a donation, contacting us, requesting news and updates, or making other transactions through the Site.

This personal information includes:

• name, address, website address, social media management and contacting information;

• organization (including the name of the association, website, phone number, and address), work sectors, languages, ​​and location;

• the results of all the questionnaires the user agrees to respond.

USE OF COLLECTED PERSONAL DATA

Since it is in our legitimate interest ensuring the proper functioning of our products and our association, we will use your information to process donations, provide the details requested about our organization, evaluate candidates that want to participate in Teach for Italy’s program, and process responses to the questionnaire sent by the user. We will also use the collected Personal Data to improve the Site and ensure that its content is presented in the most effective way for the user and his device; to administer the Site and internal operations including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and investigation purposes, or to keep the Site safe and secure.

To process the data sent through the site, we use a third-party vendor, Form Assembly. For more information on Form Assembly’s privacy practices, please consult its Privacy Policy. We will do reasonable actions to ensure that this Service Provider keeps your Personal Data confidential and uses them only to the necessary extent to perform their functions and not for other purposes.

HOW LONG DO WE STORE THE PERSONAL DATA?

We will retain user’s information as follows:

• technical data (i.e. IP address, device information) collected at random when visiting the Site will be kept for 90 days;

• if the user registers to receive communications from us, we will keep this information until the registration is canceled then we will keep only the data that will allow us to respect the expressed preference for such cancellation;

• if an application to participate in Teach for Italy’s program is submitted, the user’s information is going to be kept for the period necessary to facilitate the selection process; however, it will not be more than two (2) years if the user does not reconfirm his/her own interest.

At the end of the retention period, we may store this information in an aggregated and anonymized format to better comprehend the history of behaviors and improving the Site.

Personal Data will be stored for a longer period if required by law or court order and / or, as necessary, to defend against or present legal complaints.

For your convenience, hypertext links may be published on the Site that lead to other websites (“Linked Sites”). We are not responsible for the fact that this Privacy Policy applies to privacy practices of any Linked Site or any company that we do not own or control. The Linked Sites may collect information in addition to those previously collected on our Site. We do not endorse any of these Linked Sites, or the services or products described or offered on such Linked Sites, nor any of the content presented there. We invite the user to find and read the privacy policy of any Linked Site he or she will visit to understand how the collected information is used and protected.

MINORS

The Service is not intended for the use by minors under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from such minors. If we become aware of an acquisition of Personal Data unknowingly collected by children under the age of 18, we will make all reasonable efforts to remove this information from our database.
